LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police say a 65 year old bicyclist is in critical condition after colliding with a car. Investigators say the crash happened at 2:00pm, Saturday on Kavanaugh just off Cantrell in Little Rock.

Investigators say Diane McConnell was northbound on Kavanaugh when she was struck by a 2012 Ford Fusion driven by 52 year old Ronald Ward. Police say Ward told them he attempted to pass the bicyclist but she hit the rear passenger side of his vehicle.

Witnesses told police McConnell appeared to lose control of her bike just prior to colliding with the car. She was taken to St. Vincent Medical Center where at last report she was listed in critical condition.
