CABOT, AR - A Cabot family decided three years ago to invite the entire community over for Thanksgiving dinner.

The Moore's expect 600 people to attend their annual Cabot Community Thanksgiving Feast this year. Heather and Dane Moore say they do it with the help and generosity of others, and serve hundreds of meals for free to anyone who wants to join them. "We have probably 80 volunteers from the Cabot area and from every denomination, local business, and organization."

Grandpa's Bar-B-Que is smoking 20 turkeys and 15 hams for the feast. Danny Joslin says he sees it as a blessing to own a business and have the opportunity to give back to his customers. "It's my opportunity to use my gift and what I have as a way to bless others."

Many families come by and pick up food to prepare at home and then bring back on Thanksgiving Day to share with their neighbors and eat together.

Heather Moore says this is the time to give. "Give your time to the people around you. That's what we're here for, for our community. Come together to serve the people."

Dane Moore says they never worry they'll run out of food or have to turn anyone away. "We never worry about that. There's one thing about faith that is amazing. We know we're going to have enough food. We just have faith God is going to provide."

The Moore's say it's a blessing to them to be able to show and share what the Thanksgiving holiday is all about.

The Cabot Community Thanksgiving Feast is from 11am to 2pm Thursday at the Cabot United Methodist Church on Pine Street. It's free to anyone who wants to come.

The Little Rock Compassion Center, the largest homeless shelter in Arkansas, will also be serving Thanksgiving meals for roughly 900 of Little Rock's poor and homeless families.

Does anyone know if anyone know of anyone does shut-ins? I am a disabled widow with a brain-damaged grandson. We are not able to go to things like this. But we are always Thankful for whatever we have. It is wonderful to hear their are still people that care about those who are without. GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
