CABOT, AR – Austin Police have arrested a man accused of burglary, fleeing and resisting arrest.

According to reports, on September 14, Austin Police found a woman standing next to a green Ford Mustang parked in the driveway of 1255 E. Main Street, a home that had been recently constructed and was not occupied by residents. Police say the woman, later identified as 29-year-old Salina Parker of Cabot, told them her boyfriend went behind the house to find a tire.

Police say they found a rear window damaged, door open and fresh footprints leading away from the house. K9 officer “Lord” tracked the prints to another new construction home about two miles away. The suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Jonathan Allen Montgomery Presley of Cabot, was found hiding under the rear deck of the home.

When Presley refused to come out from under the house, officers say they attempted to pull the suspect up as he resisted. Officers say Presley was actively fighting and resisting arrest when he was bitten by a K9 officer.

Presley was taken into custody and transported to the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Detention Center where he is being held on $10,000 bond. Parker was cited for criminal trespassing.

Police say Presley is also a suspect in an additional theft of wire case from a home in Cabot.

Hey Joe; 3 posts, all dissing me. No comments on your meth buddy or the story? Welcome to the club. You, the cop and veteran hater, the other cop hater, and the thug from Detroit that goes by d; ya'll really should get together; I do believe you all have several things in common. Lack of education, lack of common sense, hatred, spite, cowardice, and not liking yourselves. Oh, and very low IQ's. Goodnight JimBob BillyJake JoeBub.

Dude; I've used it. In the late 80's in San Antonio. Had a relationship with a 30 year old hard belly. Very beautiful woman with the body of a goddess. Allowed me to stay "up" for hours at a time; and I ain't talking staying awake either. But it never got a hold on me. I didn't crave it, didn't steal for it, didn't peddle it; just used it for sex. I've had friends, lovers, relatives, loved ones that were hooked on it or used it. But that's all in the past. And the one's I knew that used it; they paid for it by working; not stealing. I haven't used it in over 20 years; and do not associate with those that do. My choice of drugs were weed and booze. My health precludes me from enjoying those things now; but I'm happy and content. My Harley is better than drugs and booze. That's where I get my high nowdays! Those of us that have been around; we can spot them a mile away. LEO's can spot them also, as they deal with them all the time. I've smoked enough weed to fill a warehouse. I've drank enough beer and whiskey to float a battleship. But the meth I did wouldn't fill a small soup ladle. I've also done peyote buttons, mushrooms, coke, and hash. The first three were freebies at parties and such; the hash I bought with money earned while working. I ain't always been an angel!

When this guy has his day in court, If guilty, I hope he has time in prison. We all know this will be probation though. And if they want to talk law, what about all the illegals dragging Arkansas's streets? Illegal IS illegal right? Evidently not to government!!!

this article says nothing about drugs being found or even suspected and there was a K-9 officer present yet some of the commenters here have labeled this dude a meth head. i would not have the slightest idead what this dude has done or consumed just by looking at him it may have to do with the fact that i have never even seen any meth much less anybody waxed out on it......... sooooo how much meth must one consume to achieve your powers???? ...itsjustme???? arkansas yankee?????

These are the kind of cops that go home at night and watch 12 year old reruns of COPS trying to learn something and they get erect when the cops arrest someone.
