HAVANA, AR -- The Yell County Sheriff's Department (YCSD) announced Tuesday that a Havana couple was arrested and faces a number of drug charges stemming from a joint investigation among multiple agencies.

Ronnie Clark, 52, and Kazan Clark, 62, were arrested and charged with manufacturing a schedule 6 substance, possession of a controlled substance, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of drug paraphernalia and manufacturing in proximity to certain facilities following the execution of a search warrant Sept 20.

YCSD, Arkansas State Police and the 15th Judicial District Drug Task Force were involved in the investigation in which 20 marijuana plants 8-12 feet tall were seized from the residence.

They also found 25-30 pounds of marijuana inside the home that had already been harvested along with several smaller marijuana plants from an indoor growing operation, according to 15th Judicial District DTF Director Joe Patterson.

Officials also seized 14 firearms as well as numerous items related to the production of marijuana.

Because the alleged operation is in proximity to a school and city park, the couple will face criminal enhancements to the charges, Patterson said.

Bond was set at $2,500 for each. Ronnie Clark is currently incarcerated at the Danville Jail while Kazan posted bond and was released a pending court appearance.
