Fired England Police Chief to ask for job back

Sunday, former England Police Chief Herman Hutton is speaking out and rallying for support before he goes to the England City Council meeting Tuesday night to appeal what he calls his wrongful termination.

If I was him, I'd run for mayor. As far as his job, he should get it back. Even if he was working on his sermon while "on duty", who cares. Obviously he is doing his job, crime is down. I'd rather have someone working on a sermon while on duty than doing what some cops have been doing lately.

I do too chris. Seems if a man is willing to put in up to 80 hours a week in what is likely a salaried position, and if indeed crime is down, that's the man I'd want protecting my town. Mayor's have too much power; hope the city council stands up to him if the town is backing the chief.
