Folks in Central Arkansas Dream Of Winning Powerball Millions

At $600 million, Saturday's drawing was the largest Powerball jackpot ever and the second largest lottery total in US history.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- At $600 million, Saturday's drawing was the largest Powerball jackpot ever and the second largest lottery total in US history.

Unfortunately, you have a better chance of getting struck by lightning or becoming President.  The odds were 175,000,000 to 1.

But even with those slim chances, it's hard not to dream of the possibilities, and before the numbers came out folks in Central Arkansas were doing just that.

"I'd buy a home and a brand new car!  Camaro!  2013!" said Candice Fitzgerald.

"I'm a call my attorney, my CPA, my financial advisor... shutting down Facebook, throwing my phone away, and I'm getting on an airplane and going to Hawaii," said Elizabeth Aubrey

While the first thought was often self centered, people also showed a softer side.

"I would bless a lot of homeless people," Fitzgerald said.

As the day progressed lines at stores selling tickets swelled.

According to reports, 80 percent of possible number combinations were bought for Saturday's lottery.  So that means it's likely there will be at least one winner.

And even with the long odds people were hopeful the winning ticket would be theirs.

"I don't feel like it's that big of an investment for the potential payoff," said Cary Cameron.

UPDATE:

The winning numbers are 10 -- 13 -- 14 -- 22 -- 52 -- and the Powerball is 11.
