Fox 16 News Crew Arrives Minutes after Tornado Strikes Van Buren County

Reports from the scene show path of destruction, destroyed and damaged buildings, overturned tractor trailer truck.
VAN BUREN COUNTY, AR - The National Weather Service (NWS) in Little Rock has confirmed the storm that hit Van Buren County Wednesday afternoon was a tornado.

NWS storm surveyors are headed to the damaged areas this morning.

John Robinson, an NWS warning coordination meteorologist says two teams will start assessing the damage on Arkansas 95 west of Clinton. From there, one team will go toward Botkinburg and the other will go toward Scotland and Conway County.

A Fox 16 News crew was on the scene just minutes after the storm blew over.

Reporter Hubert Tate walked through the debris of destroyed and damaged buildings.
