Garland County bust yields drugs, guns

GARLAND COUNTY, AR – A Garland County bust lead to guns and drugs being confiscated from a residence Thursday.

According to reports, on December 1, investigators got a search warrant to search a residence located at 668 Mt. Pine Road in Garland County. Once inside, officials found four people, including homeowners Colin Wayne Stiles and Linda Montgomery, who were taken into custody.

Police say that while searching the home, they found approximately 2.3 pounds of suspected marijuana, paraphernalia associated with the sale and distribution of marijuana, two loaded rifles and three handguns – two of which were loaded. Stiles is a convicted felon, having been convicted in 1996 for Manufacturing, Delivery, or Possession of a Controlled Substance. Stiles was charged with Maintaining a Drug Premises, Possession of a Schedule VI Controlled Substance with Purpose to Deliver, Possession of Firearms and Simultaneous Possession of Drugs and Firearms.

The investigation is ongoing.
