Gurdon Woman Killed When Car Hits Dump Truck

A Gurdon woman has died after her car collides with a dump truck.

It happened just before 7:30 Tuesday morning on Highway 26 in Clark County.

The Arkansas State Police accident report states a 2005 Buick driven by Cindy Lawson, 47, was headed west when she crossed the center line and was hit by the eastbound 2006 Sterling dump truck.

Lawson was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident report notes she was not wearing a seat belt.

James Elbert Riley, 50, of Arkadelphia, was driving the truck. He was not injured. The accident report shows he was wearing a seat belt.
