HOT SPRINGS, AR – A man who was shot in Hot Springs Monday morning has died from his injuries, according to the Hot Springs Police Department.

The victim was identified as Tyrone McAfee, 24, of Hot Springs. Detectives arrested Quincy Eugene Young, 31, also of Hot Springs, in connection to the shooting death.

Police say that McAfee tried to break into the home at 210 Holly Street. Young, who was inside, fired several shots at McAfee, then followed him outside and shot him several more times, according to police.

McAfee was taken to the hospital where he later died.

Young is charged with second degree murder and is being held at the Garland County jail on $10,000 bond. According to the sheriff’s office website, Young also has nearly $16,000 in bond on child support charges.
