Homicide victim found in street

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have arrested the person they believe shot and killed a woman, leaving her body in the middle of the street. Investigators say the woman’s body was discovered by a passerby.

Sergeant Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police department tells us 22 year old Deshaun Scott is charged with first degree murder. She says it appears the homicide is apparently the result of a domestic dispute between the victim and the suspect, who police say are husband and wife.

Police were called to the 3800 block of Katherine Street just after 3am, Saturday morning. There an officer found the victim lying in the street.

Police say the victim is 33 year old Lacrisha Foot of Little Rock. They also tell us the victim apparently died after being shot, but they are not yet saying in what area of her body she was wounded.

Investigators are trying to determine if the woman was shot where her body was found or whether she may have been killed somewhere else but her body dumped on Katherine Street.
