Isaac steers clear of direct blow on New Orleans

Hurricane Isaac sidestepped New Orleans on Wednesday, sending the worst of its howling wind and heavy rain into a cluster of rural fishing villages that had few defenses against the slow-moving storm that could bring days of unending rain.

Tesss, I agree with you that some people HAVE to stay behind, but there are a lot that choose to stick around so they can loot/steal and try to benefit from this type of event, then you have those that are to f'ing stupid to realize they need to get out. My question is this. With all of the colleges, high schools and churches that have buses out the ass, why are they not being used to get people out of harms way? I have not seen or heard of one instance where people that have no transportation are being bused out.

I have been in this situation before and there are numerous reasons why some people "cannot" leave. Some have jobs in hospitals, work in fire and rescue, nursing homes, etc. The list goes on and on. Until you are faced with this situation, think again.

They showed a piece on CNN last night about the looters. Anyone that is such a sorry piece of shat to loot stores/houses during a time like this should be shot on the spot. You are a useless individual that does not deserve to live.
