Incident happened on Southaven Court on the southwest side of town.
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A suspect has been shot by police during a domestic incident.

It happened Tuesday night just before 10:00 on Southaven Court on the city's southwest side.

Police say officers got a report that a woman's ex-husband was armed with a handgun.

When they arrived on the scene, Antoine Wilbert, 27, was outside with a denim shirt wrapped around his hand. Police say he pointed his hand at officers as if he had a gun and several shots were fired at him by police. He was hit twice and fell to the ground.

Wilbert remains hospitalized after having surgery earlier today.

According a news release issued by police this afternoon, both officers are on administrative leave pending an outcome of two investigations into the incident on whether or not appropriate laws and departmental policies were followed.
