Man Points Shotgun at Officer During Traffic Stop

4 suspects are in custody
SEARCY, AR -- Police arrested four people on Wednesday after a man pointed a shotgun at a police officer.

Searcy Police say an officer stopped a vehicle at 3:00 Wednesday afternoon for a traffic violation near the intersection of Beebe Capps and Benton.

When the officer approached the vehicle, a man in the driver's side rear passenger seat aimed a shotgun at him. The officer backed away from the car and called for assistance as the suspects drove away.

The car then stopped at the Gin Creek Apartments on South Moss, where four suspects fled the vehicle and ran to the East Market Street Apartments and entered one of the units, according to police.

Officers entered the apartment and arrested four suspects:
  • Amber Nichole Webb, 25, of Marion
  • Michael David Kelly, 37, of Pine Bluff
  • Will J Johnston, 32, of Heber Springs
  • Brian A Bowden, 29, of West Memphis
Charges are currently pending.
