LITTLE ROCK, AR – Little Rock Police say they arrested a man Wednesday night carrying 24 pounds of marijuana in his car.

According to the arrest report, officers approached the car of 43-year-old Willie Aikens and Aikens drove off, trying to hit a DEA officer. After fleeing from the scene and being chased by police, Aikens was arrested outside of his home at 4123 W. 10th Street.

Aikens is charged with aggravated assault, criminal attempt to commit capital murder, possession of marijuana with purpose to deliver, tampering with evidence, reckless driving, fleeing, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle.

Aikens was booked into the Pulaski County jail. He was released on $35,000 bond.

I beg your pardon, but I don't look anything like Gollum! rodiepol; Police officer? I have the greatest respect for you guys; but none of you are Saints, and some of you are crooked. When my wife was a young lass, her daddy sold and bought drugs with the police chief in Hampton, and the Sherriff also. My brother was an MP. He never got into pot like I did; but he told me about his MP buddies that would confiscate weed from soldiers and dependents, and keep it for themselves. And Delta Blues? ( And Smeagol was hobbit like in nature; the ring turned him into Gollum ) Yes Dude, I'm an expert on Tolkien; I have all his books, and I've read them countless times ) I like your post Butch; reminds me of a biker party I went to in San Antonio; walked into a smoke filled room and there was a female deputy sherriff ( in uniform ) toking away.
