CABOT, AR – Witnesses say a nineteen year old man was just trying to cool off when he drowned. A dive team found his body just after 10:00pm Saturday night.

Lt. James Kulesa with the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office tells us witnesses say Alvis Aaron Jordan of Sherwood was attempting to change two flat tires just before 8:00pm when he got hot and decided to cool off with a dip in Indian Lake just outside Cabot. The 19 year old went under the water but never surfaced.

The Cabot Fire Department Dive Team found Jordan’s body about two hours after he went under the water. The death is still under investigation but Lt. Kulesa says it appears to be a tragic event with no indication of foul play.

Well if there were witnesses, why didn't someone try to save him?

This seems like such an odd story. My prayers go out to his family.
