EXCELSIOR, AR- The Sebastian County Sheriff's Department is reporting the successful end to a search for a missing autistic teen.
Yesterday, around 5:00 p.m. they received a 911 call about an autistic 14-year-old male who had walked away from his home on Reeves Road, in Sebastain County.
Deputies searched the woods in the area.
After two hours, the teen was located.
He was about two miles away from his home uninjured.
“Immediate response to the scene, getting information to all the personnel in a timely manner, and being able to set up a perimeter were keys to the success of the efforts.
The advanced training received by the members of the Search and Rescue teams really was evident.” says Sebastian County Chief Deputy Mike Blevins
