FORDYCE, AR -- "I was very upset. It was time to get the guns out kind of moment," Homer Jones, the father of Nancy Harvill, said.

Homer Jones is angry after discovering his daughter Nancy had not only been missing since October 2011, but for more than a year, buried in a shallow grave under a shed at her Fordyce home.

This is what really throws him: Jones, who lives in Michigan, emailed his daughter up until May 2012 -- and got responses -- seven months after her murder.

"Had you tried calling to see what happened?" I asked.

"I had no numbers to get a hold of her. My computer crashed so I had to wait until I got a new computer," Jones said.

John Aldrich is accused of murdering his step sister.  Investigators say he confessed and claimed he acted alone.

"You can not be in that house and live there and not know there is something going on," Nancy's ex-husband Gary said.

Nancy's ex-husband Gary Harvill doesn't believe the Aldrich family was unaware of the murder.  Although he and Nancy were separated, he'd call often to check on her.

"Her stepmother would tell me she had gone to New Orleans or Michigan and at one point, Florida," Gary said.

As they await justice, they must also plan a memorial.

"I was hoping she would bury me. Now everything has to be changed around," Jones said.
