Neighborhood Reacts Following Fatal Police-Involved Shooting

Man tried to shoot at police, according to officers.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Little Rock Police shoot and kill a man, suspected in a Thursday morning burglary.

Investigators say the crime started at Linden Court Condominium just before six. Residents called police,  after they noticed someone had broken into their cars.

Police say they found Roy Boles hiding in the bushes, while Kenzell Hobbs ran away.

Officers on the scene asked people, like Steve Eubanks, to stay indoors until police found Hobbs.

"My wife went out and talked to the patrolman and he told her to come back in the house and lock the door," said Eubanks.

Just moments later, near University and H Streets is where police say they spotted Hobbs, by listening to a two way radio found inside the suspect's car. Investigators tell us Hobbs tried to get on a city bus.

That's when police say Hobbs, armed with a semi automatic pistol, fired at them. They returned fire.

No officers were hit, but Hobbs suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
 
Police say when the crime happened the suspects were in a stolen vehicle out of North Little Rock.

A third person of interest Is now In police custody as well. The person who shot Hobbs is identified as Officer Gorbet.
