New stores coming to Little Rock

LITTLE ROCK, AR - New stores keep opening in Little Rock, but shoppers demand more. FOX16 viewers told us the stores they want to come to Arkansas on Twitter- from Ikea to Trader Joe's- and they're not stopping there.

H&M, Joe's Crab Shack, Macy's, Marshalls, Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Dave and Buster's. Those are just some of the stores Little Rock shoppers want in Arkansas.

The General Manager for the Promenade at Chenal tells FOX16 more new stores are opening this year at the shopping center. Nike opens next month.

"We have Edwards Fine Jewelers. We are really excited about that. We also have W by Azwell, which is women's fashion clothing. Really unique stuff," says Bethany Siems.

Little Rock also has new stores coming to old spaces. Ross opens in October next to Burlington Coat Factory. One Little Rock shopper says she once drove to Dallas to shop at Ross because it's very affordable.

"I think it's just another example of how Little Rock and central Arkansas is primed for more national brand retailers to come into here," says Roby Brock of Talk Business.

Brock says Little Rock is attracting new stores right now for a reason.

"We've had population growth in the last decade and retailers want to come where shoppers are, and so they're going to move here where the bodies are," he says.

We did manage to find one shopper who thinks Little Rock already has it all.

"Now that the Apple Store is here, I think that is probably the last hurrah for what we don't have here," said one man.

A new McDonald's is also coming to the Promenade.
