One Dead in Accident in Desha County

One person is dead after an early morning car crash in Desha County.

20-year-old Nathan Kellebrew of Star City died in the accident.

The 17-year-old driver was injured.

It happened around 2:30 this morning on State Highway 1 at Wolfe Project Road.

According to a preliminiary report from the Arkansas State Police, the car went out of control in a curve, then hit a railroad sign and flipped.

Neither of the the men were wearing their seatbelts.

The investigation is continuing.

I know the young man that was killed personally...it is tragic that it happened and even more tragic that at the time his parents were on a cruise and had to hear of it like that and being so far away...my heart and prayeres go out to his family in this time!

No seatbelts ? 17 years old AND 2:30 in the morning....anyone else find that odd ?
