LITTLE ROCK, AR - Representatives with the office of Secretary of State Mark Martin say the revised signature count for Nancy Todd's Poker Palace is 95,687 enough to make it eligible to appear on the ballot, pending a supreme court ruling.

The secretary of state's office completed the count on Friday.

Supporters of the casino amendment are now waiting on a supreme court ruling whether or not the language of their ballot title is too confusing for voters to make an informed decision at the ballot box on November 6.

IT'S WRONG for any one person or company to get rights to gambling. Anyone with the moola to buy the RIGHT should be able to have whatever is approved.

I don't care who runs it. I think it will pull in some good money for the state. Bring on the Blackjack.

I am aware of horse and dog racing in AR. Don't understand people that enjoy that kind of thing though. Rather sit around and play cards. And I realize the monopoly they have; doesn't hurt to pay off politicians, now does it! I'm still against one person having control over casino's in AR; but still voting for it.

Yankee,,you have it bakwards..There is already gambling in Arkanss, The horse track in Hot Springs and the dog track in West Memphis already have full gambling,,slots ad all. These 2 place alread hold the Monopoly on gambling in Arkansas and have spent millions to try to keep this off of the ballet or have it defeated if it is allowed to be voted on. I think they need the competition and would like to see the people be able to vote yea or nea

Hawk; I don't have a problem with people gambling or casino's. My problem is with one person or enterprise having complete control over gambling in AR. I love gambling as a matter of fact. I learned how to play poker before I could read. The only person I've never beat at pool was my dad. I made some good dough from my fellow Letter Carriers in Tucson 2 years in a row when the Yanks beat the Dodgers. Made a bunch of dough when the Raiders whipped Philly down New Orleans way. But one person having all the rights; that's just wrong, and smells of payola to me. I'm still voting for it though if it makes it to the ballot; even though I wouldn't go in one if it was right next door.
