Police: 3 suspects arrested in stolen car

BENTON, AR - Police say they arrested a man and two women Wednesday who were in a car that had been reported stolen.

According to a release from the Benton Police Department, an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle in the area of Americas Best Inn about 4:30am and confirmed that it had been reported stolen.

Police say one of the occupants, 29-year-old William Looney, tried to flee but was apprehended at the scene. Two others, 21-year-old Chelsea Smith and 21-year-old Tamara Hamilton, were also arrested.

Looney is charged with Theft by Receiving, Escape, Driving on Suspended Drivers License and Fleeing. Smith and Hamilton were both charged with Theft by Receiving.

Dang guzzler I'm going to have to test Granny. She is on the road at that time five days a week. My daughter bought a car from a small car dealer one time. Tagged it drove it six months. Pulled over got arrested for a stolen car. Cost us lawyer money we will never get back. Sometimes every thing may not be messed up as it might seem. The sad thing is nothing happened to the dealer that sold it to her. We didn't see it as a law suit against him to recover. Just the price we pay for our failing justice system.

it just goes to show everyone that even the kaystone cops of the benton police can catch one now an thenbut at 430 am in a stolen car tweekers might as ll pu a sig on back of car an say put me in jail lol when fool cops like benton has hard to knw which is dumber tweekers or cops an lets not forget saline proscuters office they will get thee cut from tweekers an turn them lose on people of benton
