Police ID Woman Found Dead Saturday on Kanis

LRPD says the only information they can release about her cause of death is trauma to the body.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Police have released the name of a woman who was found dead Saturday morning on Kanis Road.

The Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) says they have positively identified the woman as 40-year-old Dawntea Arthur.

Police believe Arthur was moved to a wooded area, where she was found shortly after 9 a.m. Saturday by a volunteer cleaning crew.

LRPD says the only information they can release on her cause of death is "trauma to the body."

Police initially thought the victim was in her mid 20s, but since discovering her identity, now say she was born in 1973.
