The apartment complex needs to put a stop to children "regularly playing in the parking lot" unsupervised. This senseless act could have been prevented in so many ways.

This is such a tragedy, made even more so by knowing that it was preventable. Hindsight is 20/20. No child (at any age) should be "playing" in a parking lot.

The other cowards are the people who know exactly who this person is but will not turn him/her in.

While I agree 100% about this being a coward and such coward should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, I also think that an unsupervised toddler should never be allowed to play in a parking lot, any parking lot, regardless if children "regularly" play there or not.

Agreed. I only hope the prosecution in this grows a set and goes for the maximum.
