Update: Conway police have released the name of a man who was found dead in a vacant lot last Friday.

He is Atlas Rufus Miles, 70, from the Los Angeles/Compton area.

Police said they were unable to find any family to notify them of his passing.

CONWAY, Ark. (AP) — Police in Conway have identified the person found dead in a vacant lot.

According to Conway police, the body belongs to a California man in his 60s. Police aren't releasing his name yet because authorities have been unable to notify the man's family.

The body was found in the vacant lot on Harkrider Street on Friday by a person who stopped to see if a car parked in the lot was for sale. Police say the man's body was found about 15 feet from a car with California license plates.

Authorities say there are no apparent signs of what caused the man's death. Investigators believe the man's body had been in the lot for about a week.

If he was Saved in the Blood, then he did not die alone; Jesus was with him. And if he was a veteran, his final service will see many brothers and sisters standing tall for him. May he Rest in Peace.
