LITTLE ROCK, AR – A Little Rock police officer shot and killed a man during their response to a domestic dispute at the 1100 block of Gillette Drive.
Police say a neighbor called in the dispute. Two officers arrived at the scene and got into an argument with the man. One of the officers ended up shooting and killing the man.
"It has the reputation of being Sleepy Hollow. I mean, at most we've had break-ins in the past three or four years," said Jane Thompson, who lives near the scene.
"As far as what movements, what actions the person inside the home made, that's all a part of the investigation," she said.
"You certainly can't predict and people are people and people act in unexpected ways in stressful situations and it's extremely unfortunate," Thompson said.
The relationship between the man and the woman involved in the domestic dispute was not immediately known. No other people were injured in the altercation.
Police have not released the name of the victim.Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department said the officer felt threatened by the man, but she did not elaborate as to what that threat was.
