Parents with students at Anne Watson Elementary in Bigelow got this note recently telling them what happened.

Jenny Blair is holding her 7-year-old daughter Chloe just a little closer lately.

About one month ago she was in this auditorium at Anne Watson Elementary for a school assembly honoring students when she noticed something strange.

"Out of the corner of my eye I saw the guys camera," she said.

Then she noticed that parent was zooming in on little girls in inappropriate areas.

"It was disturbing," she said.

Not only did Blair tell the school's councilor, but she followed the man and got his license plate to help police, and the school, take action.

"We were thrilled to have the parent  come forward," said the school's superintendent Eric Saunders.

He said he knows all too well how parents feel when something like this happens, as a parent of a girl who attends the school.

That's why letters were immediately sent to parents explaining the situation.

"We wanted them to know what had happened and what steps we had taken and to assure them we are serious about the security and safety of our kids," he said.

Not only is the parent banned from campus, but investigators confiscated his computer and found hundreds of files of child pornography.

He's now being held with a $200,000 bond.

Blair who also lives just down the street from the school's campus said she can breathe a little easier knowing her daughter is safer because of her quick action.

"I'm glad he's off the streets for sure," she said.

That parent still in custody at the Perry County jail, his child's name is not being released for his protection.

I am very thankful to the parent that caught this man. Hopefully with the new "Keep Arkansas children safe", he will remain behind bars. Thankfully his child no longer has to see him again and his soon to be EX-wife will not have to fight for custody. The child hasn't been living with this man, Thank God. Please be kind to his child, this will impact his life forever, but with the loving care of others, he will learn to handle it.
