Arkansas Yankee, in your first post I agree with you Good and Greed does not mix and all races have their trials. But the key to it all is- righteous men get up and don’t bow out in shame (I’m happy that you found your way in Christ, praise God). Now in reply to your comments from my post, I don’t claim a specific denomination however my teaching has come from COGIC, Apostolic to Methodist. I’m a believer with a relationship with God (I served in the military so in the past rooted myself where “biblical teachings” were being taught and NOT what thus says man). Last thought- funny how you felt the need to expound on the fact that you haven’t placed your mouth on any man, but have pleased many a ladies with it – you are a character- meaning a humorous person. Continue to keep the faith Arkansas Yankee glad to see you are NOT acting self-righteous and holier than thou - A righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity. Proverbs 24:16 Stay encoouraged

More Faith; I've fallen so many times, you'd need a computer to add it all up! But I'm Saved in the Blood now, and when I fall, I get back up, period. I'm not passing judgement on this man; every denomination has it's share of his kind. Don't know your religion, but I don't think preachers are "prophets" myself. And my mouth ain't on no man! Pleased many a lady with it though! Till their eyes rolled back. LOL

A righteous man falls seven times, and rises again, but the wicked stumble in time of calamity. Proverbs 24:16, with that being said who are we to pass judgment? The question is- are you righteous enough to rises again? In closing keep your eyes off man, keep them on GOD and receive your blessings through the vessel the GOOD Lord uses. Get your mouth off this man – the Bible also says Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm Psalm 105:5. . . I guess everyone is getting caught up on this religious thang and not the relationship we should have with our Lord and Savior. I thank God for my Pastor - Pastor P. of Killeen, TX. Thanks for your teachings – I hope what you have taught me, is now ministering to whosoever is reading my comment

Still don't think there's any true remorse. There's always a hidden agenda. Could it be that the young man he betrayed recently got remarried and is now happy? Could it be to promote the book? Could it be self-redemption?

First off, no, I'm not perfect. But I'm not a preacher either. Funny how so many followed him to his new church. The moral bar must not be set to high for them. But, give him a break; after all, most cities have streets named after a married preacher that used church money to keep a mistress. And yes, this is "news" so he can sell his book; God and greed do not mix well in my opinion. And another thing; this is not a black only problem. Exact same thing happened at a very large church I was a member of 20 some years ago. We built a large sanctuary, and the place was filled on Sunday's. And then the "fall from grace", the church split in two, and it was all downhill from there. Went to visit last year, maybe 30 people there. Sad. And he is preaching again somewhere. And the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. His son was busted at a Christian school in Sherwood for some kind of sex/child thing; but other than the original story on the news, can't find anything else about it; covered up probably. No, none of us are perfect; but we expect our pastors, preachers, and priests to have higher standards of morality than others. Just sayin'. Oh, and my Sunday School teacher from that church; married 3 times, and he has his own church down Scott way now. The bar is indeed low in some people's cases!
