Speeders beware, the Little Rock Police Department has a new way to track how fast you're going.

The Little Rock Citizens Police Academy today presented Chief Stuart Thomas with a $6,000 check towards the purchase of a speed trailer.

The user friendly digital display radar trailer is designed to promote driving safety.

The trailer will be used in construction zones, school zones, and residential areas.

The goal in buying it is to get drivers to slow down and better follow posted speed limits.

I think it would be fun to go flying by it and see how high it will go

unless it has a camera and will mail you a ticket, so what? people choose not to look at their speedometer and speed limit signs. why would they care what this sign says? the cops still have to do THEIR JOBS and get out of the car. oh wait, they would have to slow down to do that! oh, and puco sheriff should quit speeding through joe t robinson school zone and lrpd should quit running lights on kanis. what a joke.
