Tag number leads police to robbery suspect

LITTLE ROCK, AR – A man is behind bars accused of robbery and theft of a Family Dollar Store full of customers. Police say the crime happened just before 8:30pm Saturday.

27 year old Quentin Bellows of Little Rock is in the Pulaski County Detention Center on charges of aggravated robbery and theft. Police say a vehicle tag number captured by an eyewitness led them to the suspect.

Eyewitnesses told police a large man wearing a blue bandana covering his face entered the store, went to a checkout station and patted his waist-band imply to the clerk that he had a weapon, and demanded money. The clerk surrendered the cash and the robber fled the scene.

A vehicle tag number provided by an eyewitness led police to Parris Towers at 1800 Broadway in Little Rock. There they arrested Bellows for the Family Dollar Store robbery.

Police also arrested another man there for unrelated outstanding warrants from Little Rock and Sherwood. Thirty-eight year old Floyd Jackson of Little Rock was wanted for failure to appear in Little Rock and failure to pay fine in Sherwood.
