A Sunday morning truck wreck south of Crossett left three people dead.

It happened along Highway 133, about six miles outside of town in Ashley County.

The Arkansas State Police says a 2003 Chevrolet pick-up truck went off the road around five o'clock and hit a driveway embankment. The vehicle then went airborne and crashed into a large tree.

The driver, D'Angelo Mitchell, 16, of Monroe, Louisiana, died at the scene, along with his two passengers. They are identified as Gregory Mitchell, 44, and Earl Turner, 33, both of Warren (Bradley County).

The accident report noted that Mitchell was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash but his passengers were not.
