UPDATE: Body found in North Little Rock identified

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have identified a body that was found alongside Highway 67 in North Little Rock, FOX16 has learned.

According to Bill Sadler with the Arkansas State Police, around 7:00 am Wednesday morning, Arkansas State Troopers responded to the area of U.S. 67 South, near McCain Boulevard.

When they arrived, troopers found the body of 36-year-old James David Hicks of Alexander. 

The body has been transported to the state crime laboratory to determine the cause and manner of death.

@hynuma.....I mean no disrespect in anyway but I hope when his children are told that he has passed on, they are not told like you phrased it. They do have a daddy and he will always be their daddy. God had plans for him even if noone understands what those plans are. He will forever watch over them, he will always protect them and he will be an angel from above. I know this is a rough time for you all, but you all will share memories and with that you all are keeping his spirit alive. RIP James and may God be with your family

jim was the father of 3 of my grandchildren,my daughters ex husband, not easy telling a 11 ,12 ,and 13 year olds they dont have a daddy anymore R.I.P. am sending a extra prayer for his mother

Jim was one of my best friends, I grew up with him and I can't believe this has happened. God bless you man, we all loved you and miss you, I wish life could have been better for you than what it was...

I was actually stuck in the back up regarding this story this morning along Highway 67 right near McCain. I saw an ambulance and fire truck blocking something, but there were no vehicles. I then saw a white sheet over something - so now it all makes sense. Thoughts and prayers to the victim and their family.

Wasn't there a wreck in that area yesterday afternoon that had traffic snarled pretty badly? I wonder if these two could be related in any way.
