Randy Crook, charged with fleeing

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Little Rock Police say a man tried to run them over Thursday afternoon, prompting officers to shoot at him.

Investigators say they did not hit Randy Crook, but he took off into the woods of the Brodie Creek community.

Police say the suspect was wanted on a felony warrant and they got information showing he would be in the area. So they went after him.

Once they arrived, police say Crook tried to hit them driving a stolen car. So they fired at him, hoping to stop Crook.

He did get away for a brief time, causing a manhunt. Arkansas State Police also sent a helicopter to assist.

Officers later arrested Crook on Woodsgate Drive.

The Little Rock Police Department says it's also investigating two other shootings that happened this afternoon near 36th & Potter and at 28th & Van Buren.

Hey I love all you guys. The info I get from you keeps my mind busy at times when I need it. When the body is bringing me grief. Have a nice weekend and maybe we could all get together someplace and time. Have a cookout on a nice lake. Just a thought. I'd love it. As I do like people.

@itsjustme We can go back in forth with this forever but Im sure we'll both still have the same opinion on the issue. Im not the only one that thinks he broke the law.He is charged with man slaughter

Here is the way I really feel folks. I hate to see anyone killed. I am a retired smuggler to put it nice. I know what the mind set is when you head out to do wrong. You don't really care who you hurt. If I had died in a criminal act my family knew I knew the odds. They would not have tried to sue or bellyache about it. When you step into this kind of activity you know it could be your last step. I'd say everything worked out fine. Then again for conflicting stories sometimes Granny gets on my PC and comments. I'll stop that.

uglier-you have a real obsession with chittlins. This is the 3rd or 4th time you have brought this up.Im trying to figure out why and the only thing I can come up with is.Being the pig that you are,you're mad because the other members of the heard was sold off and taken took the butcher.I imagine it gets very lonely playing in the slop bucket alone.Do yourself a favor and end your misery.

Im not picking on you today or any other day. We have actually agreed on stuff before. I know exactly how you feel about the Hastings ordeal. If he had just shot randomly at a car, I may feel as you do. But he shot at a car that was in the act of trying to run people over, regardless of the fact it was in reverse when he shot.

I knew butch54 had a mind of his own.And the other commentor thought you wasnt going to tell me off lol.Nothing wrong with just liking family. You're right, you dont have to answer to me or anyone else.You change your opinion on issues every couple of days.I'll just leave it alone because I dont know if you realize you're doing it or not.@itsjustme are you just picking on me today? I can be anyway I want. Along with Christians I don't like anyone. Just family. I turned addict under are best doctors care in a 4 year fight with cancer. I turned criminal when the people I fought for as a Veteran told me I would have to live and support 2 small children on one tenth of what I made on the job. So much for being a Vet. I tried to retrain in another field. Rehab doctors told me to go home and enjoy what time I had left. I feel anyway I want, say what I want, and don't hide where I am, or behind a CCP. I'm a knuckle and skull root hog or die man. I could care less what anyone of you think. The 15 year old had his day he failed. Same for the crook.

When you choose to live a life of crime and you choose to do ignorant things with no regard for the safety of others, you run the risk of getting your ass handed to you. No one was forcing him to be a criminal.
