UPDATE: Police arrest suspect, identify victim in connection to NLR homicide

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Police have arrested a suspect and identified the victim in connection to a North Little Rock homicide.

According to reports, around 6:15 pm on October 10, officials from the North Little Rock Police Department responded to calls about a shooting at 701 W. 18th Street. When they arrived, police found a man suffering from several gunshot wounds. The victim, 20-year-old Andre Deshawn Bell, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Around 8:20 pm, police arrested 22-year-old Antwan Kemp in connection to the shooting. Police say Kemp admitted to being in a “verbal altercation” with and firing multiple times at Bell.

Kemp was charged with first degree murder along with possession of firearms and is being held at the Pulaski County Regional Intake Center on no bond.

The investigation is ongoing.

Never ceases to amaze me how these guys think it is worth it to 1.carry a gun 2. WHEN IT WILL GET YOU LIFE IN PRISON. WHAT ARE THESE GUYS THINKING? JUST PLAIN STUPID AND CAN'T BE FIXED.

Glad they caught the guy so fast. Prayers to the victims family. Guys and gals; it's only a gunfight if both parties have guns, isn't it? If you go to Tombstone, skip the OK Corral; just cardboard cutouts. Some of the original saloons are still there and more interesting. And Boot Hill; reading the grave markers is the best attraction in town. And if you do get out that way; don't miss Old Tucson and the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum; best zoo I've ever been to. Thanks guzzler; now I have to buy a paper today!

I couldnt stop reading this article, it just went on and on, they covered this story to the "tee"....a lot of info....gunfight at the ghetto coral.....haha, funny!
