Update: Arkansas State Policeman Arrested on Cocaine Charges Ordered to Remain Behind Bars

Federal judge denies release of Sedrick Reed after detention hearing in Little Rock.
Update (July 23):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - An Arkansas State Police officer arrested on drug charges last week has been ordered to remain behind bars.

That was the decision of a federal judge in Little Rock this afternoon during a detention hearing for the man.

Earlier in the hearing in the case against Lt. Sedrick Reed, the government presented its side of the case this morning bringing into evidence wire taps, video surveillance and informant buys from the defendant and his brother.

Video was shown of Reed removing evidence from the ASP evidence locker as well as evidence wrappers found in his home after a search warrant was served. A stolen state police gun was also reportedly found on his property.

In denying his release, the judge cited the reasons that Reed is a danger to the community and a flight risk.
