Update: Woman Found Dead in LR Fire Was Murdered, Police Say

The body of Gloria Summage, 50, was found inside her burned home at 1909 E. 8th St. last week.
Update (June 25):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A woman found dead in a house fire last week was murdered.

That's according to the Little Rock Police Department, who had been investigating the case as a suspicious death.

The body of Gloria Summage, 50, was found lying on the kitchen floor of her burned home at 1909 E. 8th Street, late in the evening of June 19th.

Detectives reportedly observed "injuries" to Summage's body.

Police say no suspect or motive has yet been developed.

Update (June 20, 3:00 p.m.):

LITTLE ROCK, AR - Police have released the name of the woman whose body was found inside a burned home late Wednesday night.

She is identified as Gloria Summage, 50.

Summage's body is at the State Crime Lab for autopsy.

Original story (June 20, 11:30 a.m.):
LITTLE ROCK, AR - A woman has been found dead inside a burning home.

Fire crews were called to the scene at 1909 E. 8th Street around 11:55 Wednesday night.

The woman's name has not yet been released.

The Little Rock Police Department says the blaze is under investigation by the Fire Marshal's Office and based on evidence at the scene, the suspicious death will be investigated by our homicide detectives. 

An autopsy will be conducted on the victim to determine the exact cause of death.
