Updated: Victim Identified in Fatal Judsonia House Fire

William Robert Leggett, 80, was killed in blaze last Saturday morning.

WHITE COUNTY, AR - The Arkansas Medical Examiner’s Office has identified a man killed in a house fire last week in White County.

The White County Sheriff's Office says William Robert Leggett died as a result of smoke and soot inhalation and his death was determined to be an accident.

Investigators are still looking into the blaze and don't yet know the cause.

JUDSONIA, AR- A body has been found inside a home that burned in Judsonia.

Just after 5:00 Saturday morning, White County Deputies, along with North White County Fire Department and NorthStar Ambulance personnel, responded to a house fire on Moser Road.

The victim will be transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy.

The name of the deceased is currently being withheld, pending notification of family.

The investigation is continuing.
