LITTLE ROCK, AR – UALR student Patricia Guardado has been missing since she left for class, Wednesday morning.

Her disappearance is turning the quiet college campus into the heart of a missing persons investigation.

"We're worried and just hoping that she'll come home," said her cousin, Galbriela Guardado as she hung flyers of Patricia's picture throughout the campus.

"The fact that she's a good student, she's got a good reputation, it concerns us that something seriously wrong may have happened to her," said Lt. Terry Hastings with the Little Rock Police Department.

Police found the 20-year-old's car undisturbed in a student lot across from the campus on South University Avenue. However, classmates say she didn't attend any of her classes Wednesday.

"Something is not right," said Hastings.

Police say they have no leads but her mother, Leonore Garcia, thinks otherwise. Fox16 spoke to her while her friend translated from Spanish to English.

"She says that she wants whoever made her daughter disappear to have compassion and make her come back alive," translated Leonore Garcia's friend.

Garcia suspects her daughter's ex-boyfriend of two years ago. His Facebook page now shows a picture of Guardado, but police say he is not a suspect anymore.

"Nothing appears to be amiss there so we're really not sure what happened to this young lady," said Lt. Hastings.

"She's a good person," translated Garcia's friend. "She doesn't deserve to be suffering if she's suffering."

Her disappearance leaves an entire family worried and fearing the worst.

Police are asking anyone with any information to contact the Detective Division at (501) 371-4660.
