LITTLE ROCK, AR – Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies seized 13 pounds of cocaine and 72 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Williams Road.

The Sheriff’s Office is working with narcotics detectives from the Little Rock Police Department. They estimate the combined value of the drugs to be more than $1 Million.

"This was going to be hitting the streets of Little Rock, so it means a lot to law enforcement to get this off the streets," says Lt. Carl Minden.

Narcotics detectives say the drugs are packed for transport in oddly shaped sizes to avoid detection. Sgt. Cassandra Davis with the Little Rock Police Department says narcotics are sometimes packaged that way for transport. "It just depends on how they plan to transport the narcotics. Usually drugs are packaged to fit nicely and go undetected, but in this case we were able to locate them."

Sgt. Davis says detective are still following leads. "We plan to make as many narcotics arrests as we can."

The traffic stop happened around 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. 48-year-old Gregory Stuart was arrested in connection with the drug seizure. The Sheriff’s Office says Stuart lives on Williams Road and has an extensive criminal history. The investigation is on-going and more arrests could be coming. Lt. Minden say this drug bust sends a warning to those dealing in the community. "If you're hauling dope in Pulaski County, we're after you."
