CAMDEN, AR -- A major drug operation in south Arkansas was busted Thursday.

Camden police along with federal, state and Ouachita County authorities targeted 40 people they believe make up nearly 75 percent of the drug business in the area.

"We've taken some drug dealers," Chief William O'keefe said. "We've interrupted the drug supply for a while."

The operation, dubbed "Frostbite" has been an ongoing effort for two years, building a case against low and mid-level drug dealers.

"It really has put a hamper on the lower to mid-level distributors in camden, arkansas," Det. Jonathan Chambers said.

Agents arrested 24 people suspected of drug dealing.

Many will face felony charges including delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver.
