4 Reported Hurt in Faulkner County Lightning Strike

(UPDATE 4:30 p.m.):
FAULKNER COUNTY, AR - Four people were injured in the lightening strike according to Southwestern Energy

The lightning struck at a Workover rig.

Workers were taking cover and thought the storm was over when they started work again and the lightning struck.

Six people were reported hurt. They were not Southwestern Energy employees but third party employees working at the site.

Three people with minor injuries were treated at the scene and the other three are being taken to the hospital. We are not sure of what hospital.

FAULKNER COUNTY, AR - Four people are reported hurt in a lightning strike at a gas well.

It happened this afternoon at a Southwestern Energy site near Fairview and Herring north of Woolly Hollow.

The Faulkner County Sheriff's Office says the injured suffered burns. There's no further word on their conditions.
