Vilonia, Arkansas -
VILONIA, AR - A Faulkner County official told the media at a morning news conference that there may have been 9 people killed on Naylor Rd. in Sunday night's tornado.
David Hogue cautioned that those numbers could change. He says an unknown number of people are still missing.
Naylor Rd. is on the east side of Vilonia off Highway 64 and not far from the airport.
At last report, state officials placed the death toll at 16 across three counties: Faulkner (10), Pulaski (5) and White (1).
There is still a concentrated search effort going on in Vilonia with people and dogs going through the rubble looking for survivors.
Hogue said there were about 60 homes destroyed or damaged in Vilonia. Some of them had been rebuilt after a 2011 tornado, Hogue said.
A perimeter has been set up around vilonia and no one is being allowed into the town, including homeowners.
Hogue says people anxious to help will need to wait until there is a call for volunteers.
