LITTLE ROCK, AR - April is child abuse prevention month and today child advocates rallied on the steps of the state capitol to raise awareness about the problem.

Speakers explained their experiences of taking in foster children who had endured emotional and physical abuse and the journey to help those children heal.

"It is not a child's fault that they were neglected or abused, however we have seen firsthand the amazing progress children can make in a loving stable home," says Melissa Schultz.

"The Call" is a organization designed to help recruit foster and adoptive families in Arkansas.
