Baxter County Man Arrested for Burglary of Lake Resort

BAXTER COUNTY, AR - A Mountain Home man has been arrested on burglary charges.

Baxter County Sheriff’s Investigators arrested Andrew J. Wojacek, 29 after he turned himself in at the Sheriff’s Office Friday afternoon.

According to police Wojacek broke into his previous place of work Gaston's Resort and stole several household items.

Wojacek still had a master key that he used for his previous job there.

After stealing the items, Wojacek told investigators he decided to get rid of the items and tossed them into Lake Norfork from the Highway 62 Bridge at Henderson. The value of the stolen items was less than $1,000.

Wojacek was booked into the Detention Center on charges of:

Commercial Burglary – Felony
Theft of Property – Misdemeanor

He will appear in Baxter County Circuit Court on June 19, and he is currently being held in custody on a $10,000 bond.
