Burglary Suspects Crash Truck in Hensley, One Dies

HENSLEY, AR - The Pulaski County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) is looking for a third home burglary suspect after two others were involved in a traffic accident that left one of them dead.

It happened around 10 Monday night along W. Hensley Road.

According to a PCSO incident report, a woman later identified as Cloie Joles, 36, of Pine Bluff, knocked on the homeowner's door at 4700 W. Hensley Rd., telling him her car had broken down. When the 77-year-old man opened the door, two men appeared and forced their way inside.

The homeowner told deputies he struggled with the men, who then sprayed something in his eyes, and knocked him to the floor. They took his wallet and cell phone, then left the scene in a pickup truck.

Minutes later, a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado crashed at 3300 W. Hensley Rd., trapping Joles and the driver inside. The driver was later identified as Reddie Robert Stanley, 24, also of Pine Bluff. A witness reported seeing the third suspect run from the scene.

Joles had to be cut out of the passenger side of the crashed vehicle. She was pronounced dead at UAMS in Little Rock. Stanley was unable to get out of the vehicle because his legs were pinned. Emergency personnel removed the truck's back glass, crawled inside and got him out. Stanley's condition is unknown.

According to the incident report, the homeowner's wallet was found inside the truck.

The PCSO says charges are pending upon the completion of the investigation.
