Conway Police say when an employee arrived for work at Conway Family Bowl Wednesday morning he discovered the front door broken out and a hole in the ATM inside the building and called police.
After police searched the scene they realized someone had used a torch to get into the ATM.
Police say surveillance video showed a man enter the Bowling Alley around 1:30 a.m. then leave quickly only to return with a torch about an hour later.
The man whose face is not clearly seen carefully laid out his tools and then used the torch to cut a hole in the side of the ATM. He eventually took the cash from the machine, gathered his tools and left the building.
Employees told police the machine can hold $3,000 but added the ATM was heavily used by customers the week before so the thief made off with about half that amount.
This case is still under investigation as detectives try to identify the man seen in surveillance video.
