Update: Cabot Police Release Names in Homicide Investigation

Update (11:15 a.m.):
CABOT, AR - Police have released the names of the two men involved in an incident early this morning that led to the death of one of them.

Steven Michael McCraw, 24, is identified as the man who died after an apparent fight at a home on Carol Cove.

Police say he was an acquaintance of the resident of the home, Carl Roy Hambrick, 51, who was hospitalized with injuries.

No one else was inside the home when the incident took place, according to Cabot Police.

Update (9:45 a.m.):
CABOT, AR - A man is dead and another hospitalized after an early morning attack at the front door of a home.

It happened on Carol Cove around 1:45 this morning.

Cabot Police say a man who lived there had been attacked after he answered a knock at the door. His attacker began hitting the resident with an unknown object until he began defending himself with a baseball bat and stopped the attack, according to police.

Both men were taken to the hospital where the attacker was pronounced dead and the resident was being treated for his injuries at last report. His condition is not known.

Police have not yet released the names of those men.

CABOT, AR - One person is reported dead in early morning incident that left a second person injured.

The Cabot Police Department says the death is being investigated as a homicide.

The second person involved in the incident was being treated at the hospital at last report.

Police are not yet releasing any other details.
