LONOKE COUNTY, AR - A capital murder trial for a Lonoke County man accused of shooting and killing his wife is still pending.

The Lonoke County Prosecutor says Charlie Bryant was in court Monday but no trial date was set because a mental evaluation still needs to be done. He is due back in court in August.

It was December when Bryant was arrested for killing his wife Sharae at their home in Austin.

According to the police report, home surveillance video shows Bryant standing over his wife and shooting her in the head before walking 10 feet away and shooting himself in the abdomen and then lying down. Bryant is being held without bond.
