LITTLE ROCK, AR -- A group of people spoke out against Common Core at the State Capitol today.

Common Core is a group of standards that details what students should know at the end of each grade.

But one Little Rock teacher told the crowd it's making her job difficult and she says ultimately, it hurts kids too.

Teacher Amy Fuss said, "How will teachers like me provide meaningful instruction and meet the unique needs of students when we are following the highly regimented lesson plans now mandated in many classrooms?"

People with the Board of Education say Common Core just teaches students a different way to solve the same type of problems.
